Yes, but there's a problem.  This is not the magic we need.  Seriously, a Sea Witch doesn't need a magical gift.  on the contrary, it goes well with the Succubus and Priest build.  A magician can also benefit from this race, but essentially, magical powers are not needed to use the abilities of the Sea Witch.  It's more like the Kekengai from Naruto than supernatural science.  In addition, the abilities of the sea witch are only available to the Sea Witch, and this is NG+.

Sea Witch doesn't need magical powers.  She can be a Succubus, Warrior or Priest if she has high enough wisdom. The problem is that the magician has no magical trump card.  We are talking about people with very high intelligence who managed to successfully survive in a not very friendly world.

In particular, the problem is that a magician without equipment cannot perform any magic. Potions do not require magical powers, although the bonus + 5 to survival from character is good. A high-level warrior can smash faces with his fists. The Succubus' body itself is a weapon. A magician, without a Staff and a book, cannot do any Magic. Which is tolerable game-mechanically, but very sad from a plot point of view. I have already raised this issue in my other topics, but I think it should be highlighted separately and expanded.


I'll write everything down point by point.


1. Firstly, this should not be the default ability. Perhaps as an additional perk, something like mana manipulation, which would allow you to do nice little things like stunning enemies at a short distance by injecting streams of mana into their bodies... or the ability to passively/actively detect magic. – There would be a specialized ability to search for skeletons and NPCs with magical equipment.


2. Secondly, you can use magical enhancements and modifications. Mages love all sorts of artifacts, and the game has them. The Sex Slave outfit is a curse. Cleaning from dirt, but cannot be removed and hold the weapon. Dancer's outfit, equivalent without the curse. However, both of them have a huge disadvantage. They are easy to lose in battle or slavery. In this regard, I would suggest magical tattoos or piercings, but considering that there are already piercings in the game, tattoos would be better in this regard.


2.1 Tattoos. We are talking about spells written directly onto the body. Obviously, it must be quite weak and relatively expensive magic, otherwise many magicians would do this. You can make some nice little things, like spells that work as a temporary lantern at the cost of Stamina and Morale. Or a cleansing spell from Dirt. Little things, very nice.


3. Ritual Magic. You need to add a perk, like a cauldron. More precisely, the Ritual Circle. in fact, the boiler already has some of the mechanics. But here, it is precisely a circle, or a marching Altar, that is created. How to implement? You will need to add 1-2 paint recipes for the ritual circle. Perhaps we should think about Blood in its quality? In fact, this will be a place to create magical items. But not the ones the local Gandalf sells, but worse ones like those given for killing Pighead.


In my opinion, everything seems quite feasible and will not require too much time. In addition to the points above, I would like a unique Staff or Book for the magician, for example the same Necromancy. Otherwise, the Warrior has the Berserker Sword, but the magician has nothing cool or unique yet.

In my opinion, this is quite feasible.  What will you need?  1 CG scene.  + additional line of quests.  + additional dialogues with NPCs, allowing you to invite to the cult (Persuasion Wisdom 20; Prostitution - high sexuality; Intimidation - impressive warrior).  just moving some NPCs to the temple... and an orgy in honor of the sea witch.  maybe some values in the status, here it’s easy to add an effect like Happiness/Womb with 10 levels.  Add Dialogues with Cultists.  Perhaps give the Sea Witch the Sacrifice perk, from the Cult, which allows you to sacrifice enemies in exchange for buffs?  If we take the Maximum program directly, then the opportunity to create Relics of the Sea Witch, and recruit new Priests and Priestesses, who can be met in cities/in refugee camps.  To summarize, in my opinion, you can do without a CG scene and do something quite interesting with minimal time spent on new coding.  This would be a very cool reveal of the Deep One race.  Perhaps the only real drawback would be the need to add content to other races.  But even here I see good options.  You can give additional abilities to the Abomination by absorbing the corresponding Abomination Boss.  You can give an additional social branch for the Crossbreed.  In my opinion, this will only make the game better.

Stoneshard, try it. In the Prologue you play as your grandfather, and then you can choose a Female Mage. The game is a cool mercenary simulator. Inventory is limited in volume. You need to carry with you not only food, but also medicine. there is a complex system of injuries.

What exactly is the problem. LonaRPG lacks this mechanic. Moreover, you don’t have to buy a house. You can find a cave or an abandoned house that can be equipped as a temporary base... and frankly, it would be cool if you could get a small warehouse there - create a transshipment point, like a Bank, but which does not transfer to NG+

This is illogical.  Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot comes out.  Abomination and Sea Witch don't go together.  Each race has its own great features, but also its own debuffs.  And mixing it all up will be bullshit.  It would be another matter if these races themselves developed.

I think the main issues for me here are the development of the magician and the evolution of the race.  For the second question, I found threads on the forum.  As for the magician, there is a real shortage here.  There is, of course, brewing potions using a cauldron, but this is Science, and not something that requires Magical Abilities.  According to the lore, magicians in the game can make Staves from improvised means.  An example, as I already translated above, is the Staff of Mud, which is literally made of shit and sticks.  But it works, and that's obviously not what an advanced lab is for.  Cokona, this cutie made a staff from her own hand.  Cokona is far from a professor of Magic.  But she did it.  So, I think the minimum Crafting Staff is worth adding.  Since it’s obvious that this is easy to implement game-mechanically + it will strengthen the connection between Lore and Gameplay.  For good measure, this should be crafting something simple like the Staff of Mud.  You can also add something new, of a similar type.

Remember Nicholas. Quest with the murder of Pighead. The mother of fertility is obviously the Fortune Teller. Thank you very much for Lona, but I wanted to make some suggestions that could, in my opinion, make the game better.

 Magician ideas:

 Perhaps you need to make the Altar of Enchantment perk?

 Craft a basic staff, like the Staff of Mud.  I think a recipe would be suitable here, or simply a method that could be found in the world.

 Or modifications/Perks

 Ritual Tattoo/Piercing

 Perk?

 Ritual magic - used with a high expenditure of Stamina, perhaps 50 units, but using available materials.

 How is this justified?

 Mages in LonaRPG obviously can cast not only with the help of staves and books.  (Somehow they make them in the end?)

 Leveling/Evolution of the Race.

 Abomination Form For Creature

 Partial transformation for the Sea Witch, ability to swim

 Crossbreed: Communication with Orkoids.  Possibility of infiltration into their society.  (Crafting a Goblin mask?)

 This would complement the characteristics of a particular race.

 And in principle, it would be cool to find or create Goblin armor and mask, for camouflage and infiltration into their society.

 In general, it would be cool to show several branches of Lona’s development.

 Lona the Good is ours, the classic good Lona.
